Loscano Invests in Sustainablity

Loscano Vineyards launches its sustainable irrigation system. The effluents generated at wineries during harvesting, cellaring, and bottling contain a high contaminant burden, meaning that they cannot be discharged without appropriate prior treatment. Generally speaking, wastewater must be treated using a biological process to eliminate the high organic burden contained in it. This investment will ensure that Piattelli Vineyards achieves their goal to recycle 100 percent of the water that comes through their winery while reducing energy consumption by up to 70%.
“We take every measure possible to ensure that our grapes are treated as nature intended and what’s good for our grapes is also good for our environment”
-Eric J Malinski, President Loscano Vineyards.

The sustainability investment update feels positive and shows how businesses can move toward better practices. It highlights long term thinking. I remember when I had to do my online biology exam during a busy time, and it was hard to manage everything. This post shows how responsible choices matter. Nice post, it make me smile.
